Happy Holidays From GeoBlue

Last year we were dreaming of just being together. Now we can let our dreams take us to wherever we want to go.

This year’s holiday message is inspired by the youngest members of our GeoBlue family – the children and loved ones of our own GeoBlue employees. They remind us that the world is meant to be explored, and that dreaming of far-off lands can only be replaced by experiencing their brilliance first-hand.

We are grateful for our employees who keep our members safe and comforted as they cross borders to bring their dreams to life. And we are grateful for you, our partners. We look forward to a world of possibilities in 2022 and beyond.

Timely Filing Policy

GeoBlue would like to clarify our timely filing policies, which is the amount of time you have to submit an invoice after services are rendered.
Timely filing is a provision in our insurance policies that applies to all claims, in whatever manner they are presented to us. The timely filing periods vary from 90 days to one year, depending upon the particular policy under which a patient is covered.

Because of the variety of periods that may be involved in our policies, we do not reference the specific timely filing period in our guarantees of payment, but instead strongly suggest that you submit any invoices to us within 90 days from the date of service/date of discharge.

Invoice document iconThis should ensure you do not have a conflict with the timely filing provision. We will certainly accept invoice submissions past the 90th day; however, the invoice is subject to being denied for coverage if it exceeds the policy’s timely filing period. Should you have specific questions about the timely filing period for a specific patient, please contact our Global Service Center.

We’re also limiting payment inquiries/disputes to one year from the date of original invoice submission to us, presuming the submission was within the policy’s timely filing period.

Provider Satisfaction Survey Results

For the past year, we have been including a Provider Satisfaction Survey in the Compass. We are pleased to share the results below.
85% of providers are satisfied with GeoBlue's service
Please complete the survey if you have had any type of transaction with us in the last 3 months (GOP, claim submission or payment inquiry) so we can gauge your satisfaction. The survey should take less than 5 minutes to complete.

Isis ToledoStaff Spotlight: Isis Toledo

Isis Toledo joined the Provider Finance team in November. She started at GeoBlue in January 2016 as a Support Specialist in the department formally known as “Global Health and Safety” (GHS). Within six months of employment, Isis moved into a Specialist Coordinator role where she further expanded her knowledge and learned how to navigate medical evacuations. In August 2017, Isis was promoted to the Evening Team Lead, where she developed her skills further. She assisted with training new hires, was part of a project to revise GOPs and assisted with procedures implementation. After five years with GHS, now Global Service Center (GSC), Isis has decided to expand her knowledge and skill set further by joining the Provider Finance Team. She hopes to share her knowledge from GHS/GSC in order to better assist GeoBlue providers.

Isis was born in Mexico and raised in Montgomery and Bucks Counties, Pennsylvania. She graduated from the Restaurant School at Walnut Hill College with a bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management. She has 15 years of customer service experience between the hospitality and insurance industries. When she is not at work, you’ll find her at the gym, hiking, cooking or spending time with family.
